Our Philosophy

"My dream of the perfect training facility, a complete Bergen County Dance School, has always been one that can turn students into a "triple threat;" offering superb hip hop dance, tap dance, jazz, drama, break dancing, contemporary, and musical theatre training as well as lots of performance opportunities. This is the type of  Bergen County Dance School I would have wanted for myself when I was a young student of the performing arts, however it didn't exist. Voice lessons were on 86th street, ballet on 56th, and tap and jazz were on 49th and Broadway; it seemed as if I spend as much time commuting as I did training!

In 1978, it was my intention to create a multi-faceted Bergen County dance school under one roof, with the emphasis on good performances, strong technical training, and all students doing the very best they could do.

My original idea is no longer a dream, but rather a full-blown performing arts center with an energy and personality all its own that turns out professionals of all ages, heightens the awareness of arts in the community, and nurtures self-esteem and physical well-being. Now, more than 30 years later, this Bergen County Dance Center is a reality and I couldn't be more proud!"
